Art ACADEMY with Darina Alster - Performance Body Art

In this workshop we will discuss performance art with the young performer / photographer Elis Unique. We'll find out how to express our own bodies through unique gestures and attitudes, and also with what motives artists use their bodies as, like for example sculptures or transparencies. We'll also produce interactive costumes that will express our relationships and communicate with others. 

For the summer semester the Student Academy will dive into the adventures of artistic creation. Each month we will focus on a different artistic discipline. We'll be recognizing a wide range of directions in which contemporary art issues from fine artwork under the microscope through personal styling to large format murals in downtown Prague. Creativity has no limits. Art can be seen almost anywhere and everywhere, depending on each person's discretion and taste. Life is about creating. Art is life.

About Student Academy: Student Academy are leisure activities for high school students free of charge. Under the slogan "Do what you enjoy" from 2010, it offers students art workshops which are held in attractive locations, under the leadership of interesting personalities from the cultural scene. Since the autumn of 2012, the  Art & Design Academy workshops take place regularly 2 times a month in MeetFactory.
