Post-apocalyptic shamanism, ritual lo-fi folk, esoteric desert psychedelia. The concerts of the enigmatic musical group Ak'chamel are a hypnotic multi-sensory experience. The Texas duo, dressed in homemade costumes, take listeners on a trip to a mystical sonic labyrinth filled with auditory illusions and mysteries.

The interplay of obscure string instruments, harmonium, flutes, detuned guitars, and ringing percussion in their music evokes an occult ceremony of an unknown tribe. Over the past two decades, Ak'chamel have released countless cassette tapes, cryptic VHS films, and several full-length albums. They are bringing the latest, Rawskulled, on their first-ever visit to Prague this coming April.

The night will open with Gnäw, a duo of Iranian born Arash Ghasemi and Finland’s Simo Hakalisto. Together they create experimental narration in music utilizing traditional Persian and Finnish instruments and esoteric synthesizers. Their music emerges in the interplay of spiritually wired psychedelia, nocturnal melancholia and impressionistic desert music. 

Gnäw's sophomore album II was released in 2025 as a collaborative vinyl edition by Radio Khiyaban, Stoned to Death, Ramble Records and Centripetal Force.
