The longstanding Chicago psych-drone trio Bitchin Bajas, led by Cooper Crain of Cave, is heading to MeetFactory with their new kaleidoscopic album Inland See (Drag City)

The origins of Bitchin Bajas date back to 2010. Originally a solo side venture of the frontman of krautrock revivalists Cave, Bajas was born out of a passion for spectral cosmic ambient, blending meditative synth exploration with psychedelic guitar tones. After a string of split-singles, EPs and cassette releases, Rob Frye (Crain's bandmate from Cave) and Dan Quinlivan (Mahjongg) joined the project, and together they defined the sound of Bitchin Bajas on 2011's Water Wrackets: hypnotic drone ambient explorations, layering electronics and vintage synths with acoustic textures.

After numerous of other albums and EPs – from Switched On Ra, their tribute to Sun Ra, to the experimental release Bajascillators, with which they visited Prague back in 2023 – the band now returns with a new full-length album, Inland See​. Bitchin Bajas are taking the new record on a European tour with a stop at MeetFactory.
