Bohemian Like You: Zola Jesus (US) + Freddy Ruppert (US/CZ)

Singer-songrwiter Nika Roza Danilova alias Zola Jesus has released her debut „The Spoils“ in 2009, being just 20. The break-through came two years later with the album “Conatus”, where she fully explored her vocal possibilities and talent for dark, emotional and pulsating songs which she presented in Prague too. For her latest album “Taiga”, released in summer last year, Nika relocated from the sunny LA to partly isolated Vashon Island in State Washington. After more than four years, Zola Jesus will return to MeetFactory on Monday, March 16.

Prague-based American musician Freddy Ruppert (formerly known as Former Ghosts) will perform alongside Nika at MeetFactory. Freddy's current musical output shifted from earlier synth-pop production towards more experimental and minimalistic output, though the deeply resonating emotions remain.
