New Zealand’s eccentric Connan Mockasin has been on the scene since the early noughties – the first part of a band, then solo, then striking collabs with the likes of Fatboy Slim or Micachu & the Shapes – and has released his new record Jassbusters late last year. On the album, Connan develops his (neo)psychedelia and syrupy guitar solos even further than on the previous Caramel. However, crucial is his live shows: “Connan Mockasin and the weirdest gig of my life” says one headline. First Prague show on Thursday, May 30 at MeetFactory.
