Deerhoof are unstoppable. For a band defined by chaos, it’s almost unbelievable that they are now celebrating 31 years of existence. From their humble beginnings in the early 90s, the once-obscure San Francisco noise-rock quartet has – thanks to their ecstatic, unrestrained approach and constant willingness to take risks – become one of the most influential bands of the new millennium. Dubbed "the best band in the world" by Pitchfork, Deerhoof have played countless shows all over the world, including tours with Wilco, The Roots, Beck, The Flaming Lips, Sonic Youth and Radiohead.

The discography of the band around singer and bassist Satomi Matsuzaki is characterized by infinite creativity. In their colorful sonic universe, the ferocity of punk meets sparkling pop melodies, trenchant social commentary, candy-coated hard-rock riffs and free-jazz percussive freakouts. From catchy songs to deafening walls of noise and back again, every Deerhoof album opens new sonic doors. The same is true of their latest record Noble and Godlike in Ruin. Deerhoof embark on a European tour this coming spring, returning to MeetFactory after two years.
