Glyders + Fumar Mata

"Sheer guitar joy." Chicago-based Glyders and their minimalist rock'n'roll return to Prague in summer after seven long years, this time joined by drummer Joe Seger

Glyders are a hidden gem of the US psychedelic scene. Their focused, purely analogue lo-fi sound and hypnotic guitar riffs appealed to the cult label Drag City, who released the trio's debut full-length album Maria’s Hunt last year.

Embracing a DIY, less-is-more kind of approach, the album makes do with a minimal guitar-bass-drums set-up on ten tracks that seek inspiration in acid country, psych-rock's circular repetitiveness and roadhouse blues. Glyders are taking their debut album on a European summer tour with a stop in Prague on Sunday July 21st in MeetFactory's backyard.

The emerging Prague-based band Fumar Mata is in charge of the night's opening duties. Uniting the up-and-coming generation of neo-psychedelia fans, the band echoes The Brian Jonestown Massacre both with their sound and their vibe. FM will bring their debut album backpack joyride (which released earlier this year) to MeetFactory's backyard.
