At the end of the Ich/Du exhibition, Slovenian artist Luka Savić will conduct an interview with Aleksandra Vajd. Together they will choose a book that will serve as the core of their conversation with all its digressions and states of concentration. They will share their views with the visitors during an open discussion. This format builds on the spontaneous dialogues that Aleksandra previously established with her interpretation of tarot cards with Tereza Porybna for Secondary Archive and her unbound conversation with Anetta Mona Chisa, and which were written up as exhibition text by Jen Kratochvil.
The programme will also include a lecture Culture During War Time by artist, curator and cultural manager Lina Romanukha, who is currently a resident at MeetFactory.
German philosopher and sociologist Theodor Adorno argued that writing poetry after Auschwitz was barbaric, while Ukrainian poet Serhiy Zhadan, on the other hand, says that "poetry cannot stop war, but it can bear witness to it." Lina Romanukha will try to tell about her experiences and vision of what is happening to Ukrainian art and culture during the full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine. She will illustrate her narrative with examples of works by contemporary Ukrainian artists created after February 24, 2022.
