This coming fall, Karolina Beranova is releasing her new EP ​titled My Movies, with a launch show set for October 23 at Prague’s MeetFactory.

The new EP by the Prague-based musician and audiovisual artist is both a personal road movie and a romantic comedy told in six tracks – each one a chapter in the story of a person who, in their search for home and courage, gradually becomes the main character in their very own film.

My Movies follows on from the spring single Prag, a nostalgic song reflecting on escape, uprootedness, and the longing to belong. With a rich, layered sound, guitars that scratch and soothe at once, and a sense of melancholy that doesn’t stop the motion, Karolina Beranova and her band play at the intersection of shoegaze noise, the rawness of grune, and the sensuality of alternative pop. Their music is very much alive – and breathing.

Joining the bill is emerging Czech-American songwriter Marie April. Following her debut single heal a soul, she formed the six-piece band Marie April & The Fools which fuses jazz, soul, rock, and indie into a distinctive sound. In May 2025, Marie released her debut album tangerines, a raw and emotionally honest exploration of growing up, love, death in a close-knit family, and the search for identity.
