Two days. A village. An ordinary family. Two former classmates from the conservatory reunite after couple of years. One is a professional smyphony muscian and a beautiful girlfriend while the other performs at funerals, builds a house in his free time and grows gooseberries... Director Ivan Passer captures two ordinary days in his feature-length debut. Former communist government described his timeless comedy “possibly the most boring film ever made” but – to be on a safe side – banned it from projections. This film featuring non-professional actors who are often forced to improvise is currently considered one of the most influential films of 60's Czechoslovak New Wave.
