Summer Cinema MeetFactory: The Consequences of Love

A private guest has spent past eight years living in a Swiss hotel by a lake. No one knows how he spends time. He barely talks. Every once in a while he pays a visit to a bank with his suitcase. And then he returns into his room filled with a Russian classic type of nostalgia with his hands empty. Who is this mysterious stranger whose face remains without any expression? Naturally, his dull life routine becomes interrupted by love. Stranger's existing life without a traditional job, full of loneliness, quietness, flicked cigarettes and emptied glasses in a hotel lounge begins to change.
Italian director Paolo Sorrentino excels in creating tension in the audience of his romantic thriller which was nominated for Palme d'Or in Cannes in 2004.
