Summer Cinema IV| WINNER: THE VIRGIN SUICIDES

The Virgin Suicides – a film debut by the well-known filmmaker Sofie Coppola – takes us to a small American town where we observe a tragically beautiful story of emerging love affairs between five sisters and their schoolmates. The Virgin Suicides is a delicate film on adolescence, incomprehension and generation gaps built on egoism that destroys empathy and ability to decode every desperate, yet quiet call for help. 

Being also a sharp critique of American prudish society, this film is also a subtle portrait of sexual awakening at the end of innocence. This Wednesday at MeetFactory!        

Screening starts at 21:30. Entrance fee is 80 CZK, for visitors with permanent residency on Prague 5 with a 50% discount.
