An intricate tapestry of dreams, memories, and chance encounters. A magical, poignant, and visually stunning cinematic poem about memory, loss, and the longing for connection. This Japanese anime film, based on the manga by Makoto Shinkai, will kick off the fourteenth season of the summer cinema at MeetFactory.

Mitsuha lives in a small mountain town and dreams of life in Tokyo. Taki is a high school student who feels lost in the midst of the bustling capital. One morning, they wake up in each other’s bodies; their memories and dreams begin to merge, and gradually a special bond forms between them, deepening with each subsequent swap – until the moment it suddenly snaps. Taki thus sets off to find the girl he has never met.

Summer cinema returns to MeetFactory for the fourteenth time. A curated selection of eleven films will be screened in the Factory's backyard, as selected by the members of the venue's team. In June and July, the screenings begin at 9:30 p.m.; in August and September at 8:30 p.m. Before the film, the current exhibitions in MeetFactory Gallery and Kostka Gallery can be visited free of charge. A bar is available on site, and admission to all screenings is free.
