“In the morning I prepare
the breakfast, lunch and dinner. I work swiftly, afterwards I have more time
for myself. I can look at the wall, in the mirror, in the shop windows. I used
to read when young, I read a lot. I like to open a book even now. I open a book
and look at the wall.”
A story of a nameless woman who instead of
sleeping at nights devotes herself to reading classical novels. Her nocturnal
escapades after Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina or Sexus by Henry Miller, which she
succumbs to more and more, bring her to the very edge between life and death. At
the same time though she is able to perceive the prison she has hitherto
voluntarily lived in, no matter how well taken care of, how ‘free’ and happy
she felt. This non-traditional theatre production is the joint endeavor of four
distinctive stage directors whose works have been connected with the
MeetFactory in the long run. Each of them in their own part of the show render
in their individual style different sectors of the both mysterious and dark
world of letters the heroine has been sinking into.
