The International Centre for Contemporary Art MeetFactory together with Homesession Barcelona are opening a new call for applications for a two-month residency for an artist based in the Czech Republic at Homesession Barcelona.

About Homesession

Homesession is a non-profit organization in the field of visual arts, founded in 2007. Since then, it has been acting as a catalyst for artistic creation in Barcelona. The project supports emerging and mid-career artists as well as curators, and through its activities challenges established notions of contemporary art and culture. It currently develops four main programs focused on the international mobility of artists, production and exhibition grants, educational mediation in collaboration with higher education institutions, and community-oriented projects implemented in relation to specific third sector organizations. Homesession is part of international, national, and local networks and places great emphasis on connecting actors from different fields and geographical contexts.

The residency includes:

  • accommodation and individual workspace in Barcelona;

  • curatorial support and guidance throughout the residency;

  • return economy class transport from the Czech Republic to Barcelona;

  • production budget of €300;

  • a fixed contribution towards expenses related to the residency in the amount of €2,000 (€1,000 per month gross), covered by the sending institution.
