Osees (with Brigid Dawson)

The raw, noisy, over-the-top rock & roll explosion of California’s Osees is heading back to Prague after two years, with vocalist Brigid Dawson back in the fold

Osees are the current incarnation of a project founded by John Dwyer in the late ’90s, formerly known as OCS, Thee Oh Sees, or Oh Sees. Their singular garage punk rock sound full of dark psychedelia and frenetic rhythms has been released on numerous EPs and albums over the years.

Their latest release titled Off Course, the 30th studio album in the band’s discography, marks a return to the signature Osees sound, endless jamming and improvisation, following their previous experimental electronic record SORCS 80.  “We went back to an older method of writing for this one. We jammed and jammed and jammed.” This album also marks the official return of vocalist Brigid Dawson to Osees for her first studio appearance with the band since Face Stabber in 2019.

“The latest album from John Dwyer and his fellow garage-psych explorers embraces a fluid, improvisatory approach rooted in sprawling jam sessions and infinitely unspooling grooves.” — Pitchfork

As part of their upcoming European tour, Osees are set to return to Prague with a show at MeetFactory on June 18, 2027.
