Club music for those who stand in the smoking room all night. Blurring the lines between rave euphoria and introspective melancholy, Norway’s producer and vocalist Otha – whose work blends experimental pop, new wave, electronica, and shoegaze into club music for introverts – is set to perform in Prague for the very first time this coming fall.
Otha was catapulted onto the global electronic scene with her self-released debut single One of the Girls which instantly became an elusive dancefloor anthem, and has gained cult status over the years of a track that distills the essence of the very best of 2K18 pop and club music. It was followed by acclaimed singles I'm on Top and Tired and Sick. Otha's upcoming show at MeetFactory will feature the Club 20 EP as well as fresh material, including the brand new single Baby I Forgive You.
“A friendly new corner of club music.“ — Pitchfork
The night will open with Ashen Foals, the solo music project of Prague-based filmmaker and producer Eliška Lubojatzká, who creates sonic worlds through synth-based melodies, ambient soundscapes, and layered ethereal vocals. Drawing inspiration from baroque musical forms and club-influenced rhythms, the project weaves carefully constructed compositions into fluid, evolving structures.
Her debut EP Splendour introduces the artist’s alter ego: an enigmatic figure wearing a chain mask, an emblem of transforming insecurity, pain, and longing into a form of inner strength. Across six tracks, it traces a journey from vulnerability towards self-acceptance, exploring themes of shame, longing and fear of abandonment.
