These New Puritans confirm first ever show in Czech Republic for Radio Wave Stimul Festival

Radio Wave unveils the line-up for this year’s festival – undoubtedly, the most talked about will be the first Czech show by British wunderkinds These New Puritans. A band that saw their focus twist from post punk to experimental indie rock will play on November 20th at MeetFactory. And San Francisco-based witch-house producer oOoOO will open the show.

These New Puritans is a British band formed in 2006 which was at first considered to be just another retro guitar band. But after the release of their first album Beat Pyramid it was clear that Puritans are heading much further: energetic tornado of electronic motives supported by the voice of Jack Barnetta is accelerated by hip hop beats. Their second album Hidden included Japanese war drums taiko as well as a chamber orchestra from Prague. Jack Barnett has proven that he meant it when he proposed an intersection of dancehall and minimalism of Steve Reich. But the biggest turnabout in genre came with their last album Field of Reeds.
