Julius Steinhoff and Just von Ahlefeld are DJs, producers and owners of Smallville record shop in 
Hamburg, also founders of the Label of the same name, on which Move D, Benjamin Brunn, Moomin, 
Lawrence and Christopher Rau release frequently. 

Together, Julius and Just form producer duo Smallpeople, releasing records not only on Smallville, 
but also on Laid and Underground Quality. Their 2012 debut album “Salty Days” (Smallville) was 
highly praised by critics, fans and the press, gaining them top positions in the magazine polls of the 
year: Nr. 5 album in Groove Magazine, Nr. 8 album in Debug Magazine (in which the Label even is on pole position!)

When they perform as Smallpeople, their sets consist of a wide range between current deep house and classic Detroit techno.
