Shabazz Palaces (US) + Serengeti (US)

Shabazz Palaces, like a vulture tearing up the carcass of afrofuturism and like a phoenix rising from the ashes, are being labeled the saviors of contemporary hip-hop, along with Young Fathers, recently split Death Grips or Kanye West. Following the visionaries Lee Scratch Perry or Sun Ra, they recently landed their second cosmic rap record “Lese Majesty”, containing 18 explosive psychedelic tracks, that won’t let you exhale and it would be a damn of a surprise, if the album won’t score at the best-of-the-year polls.

Alongside SP, the evening will see a true storyteller Serengeti with his “ordinary dude” alter-ego Kenny Dennis, who Thom Yorke labeled “a true genius”. Serengeti, releasing on the weird-hop label Anticon and known for Sisyphus, his latest collaboration with Sufjan Stevens and Son Lux (who’s playing MeetFactory few days earlier, on Nov 4) will open up his solo show about life, sticking out and normality, backed by the beats of Mary C (Radio Wave) and Martin Tvrdý (Bonus). Not to be missed, obviously.
