Icelandic dream-pop diva Sóley Stefánsdóttir started in late 00s as a keyboard player in indie-folk collective Seabear. However, following a request by Thomas Morr, the boss of Berlin-based label Morr Music, she released an EP with her own compositions, titled “Theatre Islands” in 2010. A year later, a full-length album We Sink followed. From then on, her dreamy voice, on-point songs and bold live performances helped establish Sóley as one of the Icelandic “new stars”. Sóley, alongside her Seabear colleague Sin Fang was about to play Prague last June – unfortunately, their gig had to be cancelled in last minute, thus her Czech live debut is about to happen on May 22 at MeetFactory.
