VesSelo is a playful theatrical production that interweaves Ukrainian and Czech culture, language, and traditions. It is inspired by the novellas of Vasyl Stefanyk, which blend with the personal stories of the performers to create a vivid portrayal of the village as a place of memory, identity, and human relationships.

The production reflects today’s globalized world and raises the question of how to preserve one’s roots without closing oneself off to change. Through music, movement, and a contemporary stage language, we searches for an answer to what “home” means today and why it is important to consciously return to it.
