Tom Kotik (US): (re)vision

Tom Kotik uses silence as the starting position of his artworks. He often creates non-functional replicas of audio equipment and deals with the socio-political implications of the phenomenon of silence. For his project at Kostka Gallery, the artist reworks an older idea of a soundproof box, which activates the viewer’s visual and auditory perception.
