War is an Art, not a Science

"Faces of people I've never seen. Women I might have been." 

Summer evening in 2022. A Czech woman in her 30s does nothing and has the news on. The thoughts that occupy her head take her from her pleasant Prague apartment to bomb-ravaged Grozny in 1990s Chechnya, to the trying Ukrainian Mykolaiv of today, to happy Finland, and back again to her own toothache. The open air project is an intervention into our 2019 production of The Alumuni Queen. On stage, Czech actresses will meet with Ukrainian, Chechen and Russian musicians after a short joint camp. How can pain be shared? What is the role of indifference? And how to establish a dialogue with them?
