Math rock, psychedelia, and krautrock summonings – the fifth in a series of summer concerts in the backyard of MeetFactory features the trio of bands Vojdi, Sýček, and Aport.

Driving drums, hypnotic melodies, repetitive structures, minimalist lyrics, and the less is more ethos have characterized the band Sýček from their very first songs. After their debut album I. (via NAAB) and the breakup of the original lineup, the group rose from the ashes in 2024, when frontman and singer Libor Staněk II, together with guitarist Richard Stein (Pokora), formed a new owl squadron and released a new album titled IV on the label Polí 5. They are currently working on a new record, set to be released next year under the wings of Ondra Ježek’s Jámor Studio.

Vojdi, art-rock power trio from the Slovak Seattle, immerses their listeners in a Bermuda Triangle of progressive guitar riffs, relentlessly surging rhythmic grooves, and waves of noise interwoven with lyrical prophecies. From math rock through indie and shoegaze to metal, Vojdi experiment with genres, unconventional rhythms, and self-irony in their fragmented instrumental compositions. Their debut album Kompost was launched at MeetFactory two years ago, and now they return for another unforgettable live show, alongside Sýček and the emerging band Aport.
