Aiman Hassani (1988, NL, based in Utrecht) works across video, performance, installation, and social practice. His projects centre representation, co-creation, and queer migration. Hassani builds hybrid films and open sets with communities, using voice, access, and display to test who gets seen and how. He presents single-channel videos and expanded installations combining text cards, found supports, and small rituals of viewing.
His residency at MeetFactory will be his first residency.
Date of residency: 1. 8. – 30. 9. 2025
RESIDENCY PROJECT
During the residency, Aiman Hassani will continue his ongoing autobiographical project built from three years of daily diary in text, audio, and video. He asks how to select and arrange fragments for a public presentation. He will test criteria, order, and display while keeping the diary voice intact. His vision is an open set across the room, with four silent video channels on the walls, one headphone station with voiced diary entries, and printed openings and closings as anchors. Aiman plans to work with video, audio, text cards, and found supports, and to gather feedback through an open studio on 14 August.
