Antoine Renard (FR/DE)

Antoine Renard (b. 1984 in Paris, lives in Berlin)  is a visual artist who primarily works with sculpture and installation. Throughout his work, he often includes digital video works, performances and living systems. His work is rooted in a diverse range of sources and influences including abnormal psychologies, online gaming, urban culture, craft, science, feminism, violence, land art, waste and consumption. Addressing the subject through the prism of an ecological emancipation, his work stages the crossing between material, digital and spiritual territories.

Along with his artistic practice, he curated the independent art space Center in Berlin with Clémence de La Tour du Pin from 2014 - 2016.  

Antoine is a studio resident at the MeetFactory from February until April 2017, and will be take part in the Goethe Institut in Prague’s residency program for the month of April. He is preparing a solo exhibition for Galerie Ferdinanda Baumanna in Prague, and will host a presentation of his work in the Goethe Institut in Prague in spring.

Antoine Renard´s residency is based on the invitation of curator Christina Gigliotti.
