Bella Báguena

Bella Báguena (b. 1994, Valencia) is a trans multidisciplinary artist and Fine Arts graduate from UPV. Working across music, performance, and sculptural jewelry, she explores pop and internet culture, nature, bodily experience, desire, love, and the oppression of trans women. Her practice seeks an honest emotional connection with audiences through voice, movement, words, and form.

A SHAPE+ 2022 artist, Bella has presented work at La Casa Encendida, CCCB, Palais de Tokyo, and in New York with Kuboraum. She has collaborated with Sorour Darabi and Lina Lapelytė, completed a sound residency with MUDAM for the Luxembourg Pavilion at the 2024 Venice Biennale, and participated in Disputa y Pausa at IVAM in 2025.

RESIDENCY PROJECT

Algo cayó is a scenic-musical research project exploring voice, body, listening and presence through live composition. During the residency, the project will investigate how bodily, sonic, audiovisual and scenic materials can come together within an expanded concert/performance format. The research will focus on developing and reorganising these materials into a live work, while keeping the process open to experimentation, collaboration and encounters.
