Dávid Koronczi (b. 1990) is an interdisciplinary artist based in the village of Ratka and the town of Lučenec, in the southern part of central Slovakia. Since 2018, he has been co-leading Studio vvv — one of three studios at the Intermedia Department of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava — together with Martin Piaček.
In both his artistic practice and doctoral research, he explores the intersections of cultivation, cooking, and eating with artistic strategies — creating objects, images, audiovisual works, and storytelling formats.
In 2021, he initiated and continues to lead the project BRUCHOVRAVY, a format of composed feasts. Together with his partner, Martina Szabóová, they are developing a platform called Mulč, envisioned as part of a network of rural art initiatives focused on cultural landscape research, sustainable agricultural practices, and gastronomy.
They have a six-year-old daughter and tend a 3,000-square-meter garden together.
Date of residency: 1. 8. – 31. 8. 2025
