Marie Tučková (b. 1994, Prague, Czech Republic) is a multidisciplinary artist and composer working across composition, performance, text, drawing, textile, and installation. Her practice explores the politics of listening, polyphony, and the hierarchies of voice and language. Through improvisation as a form of resonance, listening and resistance, and song as manifestation, she investigates the intersections of poetic, political, and ecological narratives, and the fluid interdependence between human and more-than-human bodies. She explores how voice and feminist acts of weaving threads can transmit collective memory, approaching listening as an embodied practice of care and common becoming.
Residency dates: 1. 2. – 28. 2. 2026
RESIDENCY PROJECT
During the residency, Marie plans to focus on research and the preparation of her second music album. She would also like to use the studio space to work on textile artworks and to practice the guitar.
