Mina Nasr is an interdisciplinary artist, activist and researcher based in Cairo, Egypt. His work revolves around challenging dominant narratives, creating spaces for dialogue, inspiring social change and fostering collective empowerment. He draws inspiration from the histories and stories of the communities he works with by discussing human rights, identity, and culture. Nasr uses a variety of media, such as paper sculpture, drawing maps, video and installations. He creates delicate and ironic structures that occupy the space with the intention, to invite the viewers to interact with his environments and reflect on how they relate to various elements. His work also questions how these elements can respond to or resist the political and social events that shape our world.
