Minh Thang Pham

Minh Thang Pham (*1996), born in Hai Phong, has lived in the Czech Republic since he was 2 years old. In his practice, he deals with the topic of uprooting and loss of one's original ethnic identity, which are the most sensitive in family relations. Interpersonal family relationships are his continual interest, which he most frequently reflects and elaborates on in the medium of movie or performance. His latest projects include for example site-specific installation in a small vietnamese shop, individual exhibitions in Á Space in Hanoi and in Off Format Gallery in Brno. He studies in the painting studio II. (Vladimír Skrepl) at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts, but is currently on an internship with Dominik Lang and Edith Jeřábková at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.
