Nóra Sárdi is a sculptor and printmaker who lives and works in France. Her work often focuses on human-animal relations, or uses them as a starting point. This allows her to touch on a network of interlinked subjects such as feminism, ecology, intersectionality and to address the question of relations of power, dependency, and domination. She seeks to create a body of works where all the separate elements complement each other to add different keys of understanding to create strange, dreamlike, violent, gentle, and poetic installations. The notions of fragility, preciosity, balance and care are central to her pieces that strive to emulate similar sentiments to how she feels towards her subjects.

She is currently working on lifeforms that will outlast "us", ones who refuse to surrender and fight back such as rats, insects or microbia. In doing so she is looking to lean into alternative materials to her usual mediums that are ceramics and paper, as well as different ways of apprehending and extending into space with past, present and future bodies.

 Education:

Nóra Sárdi studied at University Panthéon-Sorbonne in Paris between 2014 and 2018 before entering the School of Arts and Media of Caen/Cherbourg (ésam) in Normandy. In 2021 she does a semester abroad at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca and obtains her MA in Caen in 2022.
