Radu Oreian
Radu Oreian (1984) is
a Berlin based Romanian artist, who uses in his practice drawing, painting and
installation.
The concept of 'collective portraits' that constitute the main body of his work, is placed at the intersection of -art, philosophy, language, history- and the ever evolving form of complexity that society generates today.
For example, the Pantone of human body: flesh, skin, bone and the organic spectrum colors (once Hollygrails to painters such as Titian) melts in 'Vectorial studies' series, into patterns of repetitive, immersive gestures. The result is a collective portrait of humanity where one is left to question the role of the individual within the larger picture of an un-mappable reality.
