Saadat Aitalieva is a curator, producer, researcher, and practitioner of performance art focusing on women's rights, based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. My work is related to conceptual and visual development and activist gestures with fem-optics. I am currently the co-founder of the self-organized platform Bishkek School of Contemporary Art (BiSCA). My artistic practice aims at exploring my culture and traditions through the lens of memory: my experiences of living, growing up, and interacting with nature. The dynamism and form of my artistic explorations organically shape the healing process through the body's close interaction with the natural and social environment. I use photography, installations, and live performances as mediums. Food is also an integral part of my latest practice.
She has no academic art education as she practices art against the influence of institutions. She graduated with a degree in international relations.
