About:
Sabrina Haas (*1996) is an Austro-Slovak artist and designer based in Vienna.
Participatory art forms, community projects and sustainable practices inform her work. She is interested in the history, politics and socio-cultural significance of technological innovation and environmentalism - both, as separate subjects as well as in relation to each other.
She materialises her thoughts and findings mainly by the means of graphics, moving image and interactive workshop. More recently she also started exploring the use of physical materials, especially scavenged and reclaimed objects, as she has become interested in the topic of human-made waste and its political, economic, and sociocultural context; this also builds the basis for her residency at Meetfactory.
Education:
Sabrina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Design from Goldsmiths University London. After completing her degree in 2017, she interned with London-based Superflux, a critically acclaimed art and design studio.
