The StonyTellers collective started at the Studio of Sculpture of Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (UMPRUM) in Prague in 2019. From the positions of stones, women, feminists, artists, storytellers, students, curators, gardeners, future psychologists, bartenders, intercultural workers, potters, economists, grant applicants, production managers, custodians, graphic designers, photographers, PR, foster mothers, singles, partners, and wives, they respond critically to art operation functioning in times of climate change while also creating a space for collective and sustainable praxis. Their virtual stories, installations, and performances focus on topics stemming from collective decisions, sharing troubles, anxieties, and desires, thus responding to the state of our current world. Their praxis engages in human and non-human agents and creates a space for new relationships. In 2023, StonyTellers opened Burnout Space, a multifunctional community space for meetups, rest, and creativity, in Žižkov, Prague.
