Vojtěch Novák

Vojtěch Novák (1992) is a multidisciplinary artist, independent curator, and arts-based researcher in Swiss SARN - who graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague. Studied at the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, and ZHdK in Zürich. Participated in exhibition formats such as documenta 14 in Kassel, Manifesta 11 in Zürich, OFF-Biennale Budapest, and Alytus Biennial. Presented his works on an international level, including such venues as Castlefield Gallery in Manchester, A.C. Kupper Modern and Perla-Mode in Zürich, 41 Cooper Gallery and NO MOON in New York, Brooklyn's Open Source, DOX Center for Contemporary Art, Museum of Decorative Arts and National Gallery in Prague, or at FUTURA Center for Contemporary Art. He was a resident at Artists Unlimited, Bielefeld, Egon Schiele Centrum in Český Krumlov, and at ISCP in New York. His performances were shown in Zürich's Gessnerallee, Vorbrenner 15 in Innsbruck, Polansky Gallery, or as part of Prague Quadriennale. He is a finalist of the Jan Naaijkens Prize. Initiated the collective educational framework ABV - Studio without pedagogue, and curatorial platform PGS focusing on offsite exhibitions.
