Zuzana-Markéta Macková

Zuzana-Markéta Macková (b. 1999, Brno, Czech Republic) is a Czech artist and curator based between Berlin, Germany, and Prague, Czech Republic. Working across moving image, performance, LARP, immersive formats, and writing, her practice examines speculative fiction, hypercapitalism, Eastern European identity, conspiracy theories, and the shifting boundaries between reality and fiction. Through humor, audience participation, and pop-cultural references, she constructs immersive narratives that interrogate contemporary systems of power and collective imagination.

Macková holds an MA from the Dutch Art Institute (2023) and a BcA from FAMU in Prague, where she studied in the Studio of New Aesthetics. Her work has been presented internationally, including at Centrale Fies (Dro), DOCK (Basel), NIDA Art Colony (Nida), Fotopub Festival (Novo Mesto), GHMP (Prague), and 90mil (Berlin). Alongside her artistic practice, she is active as a curator and cultural worker, collaborating with institutions and artist-run initiatives in Berlin and Prague, and is a member of Display – Association for Research and Collective Practice.
