Jimena Mendoza

Jimena Mendoza is an artist based in Mexico City. She studied the university at Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado (ENPEG) “La Esmeralda”, in Mexico City, from 1998 to 2003; the same year she studied a specializations in Pedagogy of Arts at Centro Nacional de las Artes (CENART). During 2008-2009 she studied a specialization in Arts-Space at L'Ecole Nationale Supérieure Des Arts Decoratifs (ENSAD), Paris, France with the program: Foreigners studies and Arts Appliqué of Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA). She was benefited with the grant of production: Jovenes Creadores (FONCA) generation 2003-2004 and 2011-2012. In 2004 she won the price Interventions at Centro Nacional de las Artes. In 2006 she realize a residency at Centre Banff, Alberta Canada (FONCA) and in 2008 at The Brownstone Foundation, Paris France.
