Insub Meta Orchestra (INTL)

Insub Meta orchestra (IMO) is a large ensemble gathered around an experimental and electroacoustic practice. It was founded in 2010 by the Cyril Bondi and d’incise duo. It consists of about fifty permanent members out of which around thirty international musicians are present at each concert. Born from questionings on improvisation in a large group, Insub Meta Orchestra has gradually grown into a strong collective and a typical background where the individual gesture gets lost in the production of global sonic states; subtle matters emerge and interact with silence. The notions of improvisation or composition become confused in a constant research of a specific development in the context of the orchestra. Its axes are the place of silence, an electroacoustic and extensive listening, the work on durations, the mimetism, low volumes, non-hiérarchical relations, the circulation of informations.

Oren Ambarchi (AUS)
Oren Ambarchi is a composer and multi-instrumentalist with longstanding interests in transcending conventional instrumental approaches. His work focuses mainly on the exploration of the guitar, “re-routing the instrument into a zone of alien abstraction where it’s no longer easily identifiable as itself. Instead, it’s a laboratory for extended sonic investigation”. (The Wire, UK). 
Oren Ambarchi’s works are hesitant and tense extended songforms located in the cracks between several schools: modern electronics and processing; laminal improvisation and minimalism; hushed, pensive songwriting; the deceptive simplicity and temporal suspensions of composers such as Morton Feldman and Alvin Lucier; and the physicality of rock music, slowed down and stripped back to its bare bones, abstracted and replaced with pure signal. 
Ambarchi has performed and recorded with a diverse array of artists such as Fennesz, Otomo Yoshihide, Pimmon, Keiji Haino, John Zorn, Rizili, Voice Crack, Jim O’Rourke, Keith Rowe, Phill Niblock, Dave Grohl, Gunter Muller, Evan Parker, z’ev, Toshimaru Nakamura, Peter Rehberg, Merzbow and many more. Since 2004 Ambarchi has worked with American avant metal outfit Sunn 0))) contributing to many of their releases and side-projects including their Black One album from 2005 and the Monoliths & Dimensions release.

Stara Rzeka (PL)
Stara Rzeka (Old River) is a one-man band of Jakub Ziołek (Alameda Org., Innercity Ensemble, T'ien Lai, Kapital), fascinated by union of nature and technology on one hand, on the other - caring for pure, deanthropomorphisized, raw natural reality. His music, described by himself as magical brutalism, is an amalgam of black metal, psychedelia, walls of noise and lo-fi folk.

Ondrej Zajac (SK)
Obstinately left-field, Ondrej Zajac works in the experimental and avant-garde music universes. Originating in the raw and unpredictable performances, he makes his peculiar audience used to a radical approach, a stronghold in technical rigidity and unconventional extemporizing attitudes.
He has released solo and collaborative work in Slovak Republic, United Kingdom, Mexico and Czech Republic, on a number of labels and across various formats. Zajac is also composing film music and music for exhibitions, therefore his music has been used in conjunction with video work, documentary shorts and independent filmmakers, visual artists and gallery exhibitions.
His contemporary approach to guitar playing has earned him international recognition and vast array of media coverage. His music was mentioned in the top records of the year charts, he has received multiple longlist nominations for Slovakian Grammy Award, Radio_Head Awards, and received the award for the best up-and-coming musician at Alternativa Festival.
