Migration is a
cultural and historical constant, that every society has different
experience with, it takes on new forms and produces a variety of
reactions. People, ideas, information, commodities are on constant move.
MeetFactory AiR Program's project entitled Critical Studio
explores the conditions and cultural practices of (im)mobility within
Czech Republic and Europe as such.
A crucial part of the
evening will be video-interviews with different temporary or long-time
inhabitants of Czech Republic of different descents, backgrounds,
religions and opinions. Among the contributors are the architect Igor Kovačevič, the engineer Ivo Janoušek, the art theorist Vjera Borozan, the translator Safiane Kerboua, the journalist Fatima Rahimi and Ibrahima Diop, the president of the Senegalese community in Czech Republic.
German artist and graphic designer Janna Ullrich will present her game
entitled ‚No Man‘s Land‘ touching subjects of difficult administrative
processes and life conditions of people on the move. Several other
guests will join us for talks and discussions.
The evening completes with sharing delicious snacks and an aftershow party with a music set of our artists making us all delighted and moving.
The event is
supported and coorganised with the kind help of Goethe Institute Prag
and Czech-German Fund of Future and US Embassy in Prague.
