Open Studios

Come and meet our residents, let's find out what is happening within the largest residential program in the Czech republic. The guided tour of residential floor can help you with it. It will be hold by curators of residential program Lucia Kvočáková and Piotr Sikora. Who is going to open their studios that night?

The part of this evening are openings of exhibitions Manifesto of an Interpretative Class (MeetFactory Gallery) and Inwald by Ondřej Vicena (Kostka Gallery). 

Lucie Freynhagen, Lukáš Parolek, František Hanousek & Jakub Hájek, Willy Schulz will introduce their project The Artist Exchange for Independent Publishing that established between the Friends of Dresden Contemporary Arts e.V. (DCA) organization, based in Dresden, and the Czech cultural institution MeetFactory in Prague. The project focuses on independent publishing activities. In times of digitization and the continuing trend that sees most publishing houses belonging to only several owners with monopolistic tendencies, we consider independent production to be a cultural practice worthy of preserving. Instead of focusing on the marketing practices under the influence of the culture industry, it should work within the framework of small independent publishing structures. In partnership with C.
