The music of Manchester's experimental–electronic duo Space Afrika is an honest soundtrack for the present day. Layered atmospheric soundscapes blurring all genre boundaries intertwine organic sonic textures, snippets of dialogues and monologues, rap, abstract urban field recordings, delicate ambient synth melodies and gloomy beats and samples that disappear in endless dubby echoes. Their latest album, Honest Labour, feels like a sonic reflection of today's age with all its sorrows and delights, troubles and joys, chaos and order. The album scored in many end-of-the-year charts, the local A2 actually declaring it the album of the year. Josh Reidy & Joshua Inyang are regulars on London's community radio platform NTS. Their resident mixes float on the waves of experimental ambient, dub, techno and other left–of–the–centre tunes.

The first of the night's guests is the Canadian experimental artist Racine. His music fuses synthetic with organic, almost panic scattered melodies and mutated samples spread in post–digital industrial doomscapes. "Racine‘s latest album Amitiés is an expression of distress caused by quarantine and isolation, but it is also a hand reaching for another and being grasped, if not literally then at least figuratively, with the promise to grasp again." (a closer listen)

Omar El Sadek, an interdisciplinary artist, painter and musician, is the second guest of the night, who released his great debut Dawafer last year on the local Genot Center under his alias QOW. "Dawafer is a cohesive album, distinctive for its flowing sounds, shifting dynamics and general immersive mood." (Ma3azef)
