The
first Public House in this year will wake you up from hibernation! All our
dramaturgies have joint forces and prepared for you the allnight art party with
eventful programme. An exhibitions, theater, music, residencies, performances and workshops will occupy
all available spaces of MeetFactory. Open your eyes, prick up one´s ear, we
will begin on April 14 at 7pm.
MeetFactory
Gallery will open the exhibition The
Portent of Light,
which wants to pursue the enciting phenomenon of “lost knowledge”. Their works
will present: :
Caroline Achaintre, Agnieszka Brzeżańska, Bonnie
Camplin, Dominik Císař, Mark Fridvalszki, Maria Loboda,
Milan Mikuláštík and Shana Moulton.
Kostka Gallery will open the exhibition Vertical Gradation by our
resident Juraj Gábor.
Beauty Free Shop Gallery will present
the exhibition of Šárka Basjuk
Koudelová, Ondřej Basjuk, Filip Černý, Lucie Mičíková and Viktorie Valocká titled
Peel, which offers a several approaches to surface in contemporary
painting.
In
the theater rehearsal will take place a last show of performance Woman
in Taxi Crossing New York, which tells the story of a woman hospitalized
for a emotional unstability, and in the theater hall a performance Všechna
temnota světa nemůže uhasit světlo jediné male svíčky, based on the
text inspired by the novel of Petr Šabach Zvláštní
případ Františka S.
The main music hall host a panel discussion: How to Earn a Living from Music in 2016? with music producer Stein Bjelland (NO), songwriter Jan P. Muchow, music promoter David Urban, indie label boss Lucia Udvardyová (SK/HU) and music journalist Pavel Kučera.
The SYNAPSE project was initiated by Insomnia Festival in Tromsø, Norway and MeetFactory and is funded by EEA Grant 2009-2014.
The evening will continue with the shows of
Kaitlyn
Aurelia Smith (US) with her impressionistic version of synth-ambient
music, experimental project We
Will Fail (PL) in which pure electronic, samples and field recordings
are mixed together, reffering to the techno aesthetics, and Portugese musician IVVVO
(PT) with his fusion of the gauzy techno and spectral electronic.
The shows of We Will Fail and IVVVO are supported by the SHAPE 2016, platform, co-funded by the Creative
Europe programme of the European Union.
Throughout the whole evening will be
open the studios our
current artists-in-residence. In their studios you can meet: Alicja Rogalska, Rona Stern, Urban Space Epics,
Anne-Claire Barriga, Juraj Gábor, Bartosz
Kokosiński, Sarah Jones, Alice de Mont and
Iza Taraszewicz.

Aldin Popaja and Jan Slovenčík – tutors our MeetF Academy - prepared
an exhibition, performative meetings and workshop, which will also include
music, dance, smoke and projections.
