VERNISSAGE / SCREENING / OPEN STUDIOS

The month’s multi-genre evening in MeetFactory will be held in the spirit of summer: the vernissage of the exhibition House freed from its floors, organized by Lucie Mičíková and Zuzana Žabková, will take place in Cube Gallery, and the screening of Talk & Twerk, a film by Elizabeth Bačíková, in the great hall. Our curators will guide you through the studios of artists in residence, starting with a special welcome cocktail for everyone.

EXHIBITION A HOUSE FREED FROM ITS FLOORS
The exhibition is part of a long­term project called "When the peaks of our sky touch, my house will have a roof," in which the authors develop a mutual dialogue. The dynamics of movement in drawing and spatial choreography blend with the experience of the processual architecture.

MOVIE TALK & TWERK
The film by Alžběta BačíkováTalk & Twerk will be shown, where two seemingly different forms of public self-presentation are being confronted, the rhetoric and the erotic one. A twerk professional dancer and a rhetoric teacher meet before the camera eye to discover connections between at first glance very different forms of art by means of mutual instruction. Alžběta Bačíková graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno, studio Painting II.
 
OPEN STUDIOS
The curator of MeetFactory residency Zuzana Jakalová will provide guided tours for the Open Studios of our artists in residence. This time, we present nine international artists: Anabela Žigová (SK) and Mária Modrovich (SK), Zac Hacmon (ISR), Mark von Rosenstiel (US), Alioune Diouf (SN), Elodie Gallina (FR), Urban space epics (US), Szymon Kobylarz (PL), and Tom Pazderka (US).
