An inter-genre evening in MeetFactory: we invite you to the opening of an exhibition of Adela Součková Old Men at a Water Spring in the Kostka Gallery, screening of the film You Cannot, performance Ping Pong in the MeetFactory´s cafe and of course our Open Studios.

EXHIBITION OLD MEN AT A WATER SPRING
In her new exposition Old Men at a Water Spring, Adela Součková chasing for a better understanding of common symbols, what is the meaning of commonness nowadays and if symbols responding to the reality we live-in? And what about the society is it any longer taking a part in process of construction of these symbols?
Using medium of hand drawing Adela is combining conceptual drive with very traditional technique – the outcome turns to be a mixture of plots that creating a huge pandemonium. Circulating around the core but never approaching it.
Opening will be in the Kostka Gallery at 7 pm.

MOVIE YOU CANNOT
Video performance You Cannot of Vladimíra Večeřová and Petra Lelláková follow-up of an older cycle of works under the common name You Can. Both artists have placed their videos in a landscape, which serves them as an inspiration and also as a framework for their mutual interaction. In the resulting images, the originally real characters turn into fantasy, creating by means of their activities often even grotesque examples of belonging between the figures and the landscape. Petra Lelláková is a student and Vladimíra Večeřová a graduate from the New Media II studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. The film will run in a loop from 7 pm until midnight.

PERFORMANCE PING-PONG
"This is often a psychological striptease," says Slovak artist Anabela Žigová about the experimental Ping-Pong project, which will present together with writer Marie Modrová in the MeetFactory cafe directly among the spectators. Performance Ping-pong is a conversation between two women artists. At the center of this project is the question: "It is possible that the private conversation became something universal, which attracts audience."

OPEN STUDIOS
The first floor of MeetFactory will be open again with our Open Studios – see and chat with these artists: TSAH Zac Hacmon (ISR) Martinka Bobrikov (SK) and Oscar de Carmen (ES), Urban space epics (USA), Deok Yeonung Gim (ROK), Viktor Valášek (CZ), Tom Pazderka (USA), Anabela Žigová and Mária Modrová (SK).
