Christine Rahn

In staging artistic projects and developing appropriate structures for production and exchange, my aim is to enable reflection on and participation in socio-politically relevant questions and debates - through exploring site-specific narratives, moments of remembrance and oral history that interact with our surroundings. How can society’s knowledge, mentality, and status quo be challenged by artistic approaches and intercultural networks?  

Christine Rahn, currently based between Leipzig and Berlin, Germany, is a freelance curator, project manager and mediator in contemporary arts. 

Christine Rahn worked in Brno as Robert Bosch cultural manager for the House of Arts and together with 4AM - Forum for Architecture and Media. In this context she organised on-site exhibitions and designed new projects, formats of discussion and cooperations fostering the transnational artistic exchange, esp. between Czech Republic and Germany (eg. READING THE CITIES / SKOK! Tales of (y)our City, What about the Ghosts in Town? Urban Minds and Legends or Experimental Film Fest). Previously, she was engaged in Paris for the Galerie Jocelyn Wolff and in Leipzig where she initiated and ran the artists-in-residence programme BLUMEN and established its close cooperation with Kunstverein Leipzig.

During her stay she is involved as a mentor in the team of MeetFactory's artists-in-residence program.
