On the same evening as the opening of the exhibitions Jan Kostohryz, Alice Nikitinová, Hana Puchová: Should I take my shoes off? (MeetFactory Gallery) and Nik Timková: you want this place to be everything (Kostka Gallery), the curators of the A-i-R programme present the work of individual MeetFactory residents.
The DJ duo of Step by Step & VuTru will soundtrack the night.
After a month-long sabbatical, the international residency program is coming back to life. During the August open studios, eight international artists will present their work for the first time. Highlights include the introduction of the DATAS project, which explores the impact of artificial intelligence on our society, democracy, and personal freedoms, as well as outcomes from the Czech-Polish project Sklenik, which this year focuses on the theme of fungi and myco-anarchism. In addition, you will have the chance to meet artists from India, Netherlands, Slovakia, and Switzerland who are developing their own unique projects. The work of the residents will be presented during a guided tour led by curators Tereza Havelková and Kateřina Pencová.
